In addition, DMU also subscribes to a service offered by APA, Academic Writer, which will be discussed later.

Accessing APA’s PsycNET Databases

For starters, one can navigate to the APA PsycNET databases through the library webpage at https://library.divinemercy.edu.

Under the Find tab, the second link in the list is linked to the databases page:

https://library.divinemercy.edu/friendly.php?s=databases

Descriptions of the databases in the PsycNET service are as follows

  • APA PsycNET - this is a database where you can search all of APA’s databases at once
  • APA PsycINFO – this only contains abstracts
  • APA PsycARTICLES – this is where you can find full-text articles
  • APA PsycBOOKS – you can find eBooks here
  • APA PsycEXTRA - gray literature (conference proceedings, etc.)
  • APA PsycTHERAPY – this has videos
  • APA PsycTESTS - this has measures and scales
